And I really never thought of Balochistan but now, I'm really intrigued. The Lasbela rock cut caves seem to me to be of Jain origin. The deccan ghats have similar caves thousands of them for traveling monks to take shelter. Jainism was a thriving religion till the 8th century. Each generation of a family had a monk. Renunciation and austerity are an important part of the religion.
