Amardeep and Omar, This tomb is in a small garden in Lasbela town of Balochistan about 200 km north of Karachi. I read Thornton's biography of Sandeman thirty years ago after which we visited the grave. To write anything meaningful about him would be more than a task I can handle right now.
Beautiful. I so wished to see this place. Robert Sandeman though our masters from the colonial period but what a man he was. How he managed the inter-winding conflicts and issues of today's baluchistan by tacit and wisdom is plausible. A great man to learn from. I am astonished by these men dedication and perseverance to take forward the cause of their empire then and even now.
Salman ji, Would have loved to know something about Robert Sandeman.
